About MPReviews — Honest Massage & Spa Reviews Since 2001

Who We Are: A Trusted Community Review Platform for Massage and Spa Services

MPReviews is a community-driven review platform dedicated to providing honest, unedited reviews of massage parlors, spas, and independent massage providers across California and beyond. We are not a listing service. We do not sell placement. We do not allow businesses to buy their way to a better reputation. What you read on MPReviews was written by real visitors — members of a community that has been contributing reviews since 2001.

Our platform exists for one reason: to give massage and spa customers a single, reliable place to share their real experiences and to find the experiences of others before they book. If you have ever searched for "honest massage parlor reviews near me," "unbiased spa reviews Los Angeles," or "how do I find real reviews for massage providers," MPReviews is built for exactly that need.

Community-Trusted Massage Reviews Since 2001

Few review platforms can claim the kind of longevity MPReviews has. We have been online since 2001 — over two decades of continuous operation, consistent policy, and community contribution. That history matters. It means our archive contains years of reviews across hundreds of cities, provider listings that span more than 20 years of activity, and a policy record that has never bent to business pressure.

Why does that matter when you're looking for trustworthy massage provider reviews? Because newer sites come and go, and many of them change their policies when businesses push back or when paid placement becomes too profitable to resist. We have not done that. Our only business model is to keep the platform useful for readers and credible for the community. That's it.

Over the years, members have submitted tens of thousands of reviews covering massage parlors, day spas, Asian massage providers, independent therapists, and more. Every one of those reviews — as long as it meets our community guidelines — remains in the archive. Not softened. Not removed at a business request. Not buried behind a paywall that the business paid to create.

How Massage and Spa Reviews Work on MPReviews

Understanding how the review process works helps you trust what you're reading. Here is the full process from submission to publication:

Step 1 — Member Registration
Only registered members can submit reviews. This creates basic accountability and helps us filter out spam and fake reviews. Registration is free for standard access.

Step 2 — Review Submission After a Visit
Members submit reviews after an actual visit. Submissions include the provider name, location, and the member's written account of their experience. Reviews can cover atmosphere, service quality, provider demeanor, value, and any other relevant detail.

Step 3 — Moderation Queue
Every submitted review enters a moderation queue. Our team checks for spam, violations of community guidelines (e.g. harassment, illegal content, off-topic posts), and content that doesn't qualify as a legitimate review. We do not check for negative sentiment — a review being negative about a provider is not grounds for removal.

Step 4 — Publication and City Linking
Approved reviews are published and linked to the provider's listing, which is tied to a city hub. This means if you're browsing massage reviews in Los Angeles, massage reviews in Orange County, Inland Empire massage parlor reviews, or any of the other cities and regions we cover, you'll find the relevant reviews organized by location.

Step 5 — Permanent Archive
Published reviews remain in the archive permanently unless they violate our guidelines or the original author requests removal under our stated removal process. A business cannot request removal. A business cannot edit the content. A business cannot pay to suppress a review.

Our No-Editing, No-Pay-to-Remove Policy

This is the policy that defines us, and it is non-negotiable.

We do not edit review text at a business's request. If a massage parlor or spa contacts us to ask that we soften, alter, or remove a review written about them, the answer is no. It was no in 2001. It is no today.

We do not offer a "pay to remove" or "pay to hide" option. This practice — offering to suppress negative reviews for a fee — exists on some review platforms. It is one of the reasons those platforms cannot be fully trusted. We do not do it. We never have.

We do not allow businesses to bury negative reviews through paid placement. A business paying for a featured listing does not get to push negative reviews off the first page. Our listings do not work that way.

If you have ever wondered, Are massage review sites trustworthy? or Can massage parlors remove bad reviews? — on MPReviews, the answer to the second question is no. That's what makes the answer to the first question yes.

This policy is the core of our credibility with the community that reads and writes reviews here. We state it clearly, publicly, and without fine print, so both members and businesses know exactly where we stand.

Where We Cover: Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside & San Bernardino

Our primary geographic focus is Southern California, and our deepest coverage is in the following areas:

Los Angeles County Massage Reviews

Los Angeles County is our largest coverage area. We have city hubs for dozens of LA cities including Los Angeles, Long Beach, Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, Torrance, El Monte, Inglewood, and more. Whether you're looking for Asian massage reviews in Los Angeles, massage parlor reviews in the San Fernando Valley, or spa reviews in East LA, the archive reflects years of community contributions from across the county.

Orange County Massage Reviews

Orange County coverage spans cities including Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Fullerton, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Westminster, and beyond. Many members use MPReviews specifically for Orange County massage parlor reviews because the combination of depth and consistency is hard to find elsewhere.

Inland Empire Massage Reviews — Riverside & San Bernardino Counties

The Inland Empire is one of our strongest areas. Riverside County cities including Riverside, Moreno Valley, Corona, Temecula, and Hemet are well-represented. San Bernardino County coverage includes Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, San Bernardino, and Victorville, among others. If you're searching for Inland Empire massage reviews, Riverside County massage parlor reviews, or San Bernardino spa reviews, our city hubs are the right place to start.

Other California Regions and Beyond

Beyond our core four-county focus, we have growing coverage across California and in select markets outside the state. Coverage reflects actual community submissions — we do not fake coverage for cities where no reviews have been submitted. As members contribute in new areas, those areas grow organically. If your city isn't yet listed, it can be added as soon as the first qualifying review is submitted.

What VIP Membership Offers

MPReviews offers a VIP membership tier that provides additional access for readers who use the platform regularly.

VIP membership does not give any business any ability to alter, remove, or influence reviews. Membership is for readers. It does not create a conflict of interest with our review integrity policy.

Our Commitment to Transparency and Platform Integrity

We believe platform transparency is not optional — it is what separates a trustworthy review site from one that just looks like one. Here is what we are transparent about:

How moderation works. We publish our guidelines. We explain what gets removed and why. We do not moderate secretly or selectively in ways that favor paying advertisers.

What we will and won't do for businesses. We clearly state our no-edit, no-pay-to-remove policy. Businesses know before they contact us that the answer to "will you remove this review?" is no. This clarity saves everyone time and makes our position unambiguous.

How to report abuse. If a member or reader believes a review violates guidelines — for example, is spam or was posted by someone who never actually visited — there is a clear reporting process. We investigate and act when violations are confirmed.

What our VIP tier does and doesn't include. We don't obscure what the membership offers or imply that it influences editorial decisions. It doesn't.

Our history. We have been running since 2001. That history is public. Our track record — consistent policy, community-first decisions, no pay-to-suppress practices — is the best argument for trusting what you read here. We don't need to tell you to trust us; the archive speaks for itself.

Frequently Asked Questions About MPReviews

Can a massage parlor or spa remove a review from MPReviews?
No. Businesses cannot remove, edit, or hide reviews. The only removals are for verified guideline violations (spam, harassment, illegal content) or author-requested removals under our stated process.

Can businesses pay to improve their rating or ranking on MPReviews?
No. We do not offer paid review removal, rating boosts, or placement that affects how reviews appear. A business's position on MPReviews reflects the community's submissions — nothing else.

How do I know reviews on MPReviews are real?
All reviews are submitted by registered members and pass through a moderation queue. We check for spam and fake content. We do not pay for reviews and do not allow businesses to submit their own. No moderation system is perfect, but ours has been in place and consistently applied for over 20 years.

Does MPReviews cover my city?
We have strong coverage in Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County, with additional coverage across California. Use our city and county navigation to browse what's available. If your area isn't listed yet, it grows when members submit reviews.

How do I submit a review?
Register for a free account, visit a provider, and submit your review through the submission form. All submissions are reviewed before publication.

What is the difference between free and VIP access?
Free members can browse listings and read review previews. VIP members access full review text, browse ad-free, and use advanced filtering and comparison tools.

Why MPReviews Has Stayed Relevant for Over 20 Years

The internet review landscape has changed dramatically since 2001. Platforms have launched and shut down. Policies have shifted. Businesses have found new ways to game ratings. The problem of fake and suppressed reviews has gotten worse, not better, on many mainstream platforms.

MPReviews has stayed relevant because we have not tried to be everything to everyone. We cover a specific type of service. We cover it thoroughly in the regions where our community is strongest. We enforce a simple, clear policy and we do not make exceptions. We do not chase advertising dollars by softening our rules. We do not add features that create new conflicts of interest.

The people who rely on MPReviews — both members who contribute and readers who research — rely on it because it does one thing: it gives you an honest, unfiltered look at what other visitors experienced. In a review ecosystem full of managed reputation and pay-to-remove schemes, that's rarer than it should be. It's what we've always done. It's what we'll keep doing.
