Both these tragedies would have been avoided if the oldest profession in the world was legal, readily available, and not stigmatized in our society.
How many more innocent lives should be lost in order to realize that sex is a basic function, like eating, sleeping, etc??

Dunno that it would have helped in this case. This guy was clearly a narcissistic sociopath. He wasn't upset necessarily about the sex part. He apparently never learned to handle rejection, and suffered severe narcissistic injury. Anyone who has ever had to deal with malignant narcissists knows that in their minds they are the greatest people in the world, that the world revolves around them, and that the greatest sin in the world is to be criticized or rejected. Therefore, the girls who turned him down should be punished - which is exactly what he did...

Very chilling and unfortunate... but American society has stop raising their kids to believe they are entitled to a great life, love, and everyone gets first prize. Entitled to a "girl friend" and sex... hell, where is that written. Lots of excuses but its time to realize there are no "freebies" in this world.

Take a look at his FB page. His likes include luxury cars like Bentley, Aston Martin, MB, BMW, which I could see a normal young man liking. But also includes Prada, Giorgio and Gucci. He's got pics on the red carpet and flying first class in sleeper seats. Sounds like a self-entitled spoiled kid. I know the parents called the cops because they were concerned by his youtube posting; but they should have taken action a long time ago.

You'd think with all the money he'd have figured out how to buy a little loving. Killing his male roommates indicates he wasn't very good with befriending either sex.

Tragic for everyone involved.

He was not born here.
His parents were people that cared more about careers and moving upwards in society.

I disagree with the OP. Rodger had the financial means to get a provider. That was NOT what he wanted. He sought an emotional connection with a girlfriend, which was not going to happen due to his autism and other mental issues. He could have had a complete GFE session with a provider, but that would not have prevented his "day of retribution."

One single make-out session with a civilian, however, would have changed his life and would have given him hope for the future and WOULD have prevented Isla Vista from happening.

Lets keep in mind that many men in our society view mongering as something evil and shameful. They wouldn't procure a provider even though they have the money. That's because our society has demonized sex with a provider, by creating so many laws about HT etc.
By legalizing mongering, some of these guys may realize that it is perfectly natural for them to monger.

All that would have done was cause another dead body of the girl that made out with him then figured out he was disturbed and dumped him. She would have caught the first bullet. Every girl that he ever encountered should be thankful that the DIDN'T sleep with him! He wasn't a bad looking guy, he studied PUA materials etc, drove a BMW, he came from money but couldn't get a GF? That only leaves one possibility...HE WAS A FUCKIN NUT BAG and every girl he met knew it and ran.
