White Cars

I mentioned this in another thread but have you observant mongers ever noticed that most of your Chinese providers buy new white cars? Some will buy secondhand cars in other colors because not every good deal of a used car is painted white. Answer if you think you know why but don't cheat and use Google or Siri to look it up. I am always surprised when I see a Chinese provider who is driving a car, bought new, that is other than white. Even many non-Chinese Asians will buy white cars.

Yeah, I can't figure it out. White has no significance in Chinese culture, so who knows? My Chinese wife wanted a red car and my Chinese ex gf always opts for blue Hondas, but they are the exception.
