Sherwood Bar & Grill? is Open!

For those of us that frequented the old Sherwood Inn Bar, Mai has resurrected the place into a Steak House bar & grill.

Last week, I saw the banner that it was to open July 22. Door was open and went in to find Mai and a couple of older gents getting the place ready. It's been remodeled with a small kitchen added, an extended bar, new lighting to lighten the place up. It's quite a bit more open. Cheap tables and chairs. Generally, a lot better looking inside, but not a top notch place at all.

Mai and I talked for half an hour about the old days and new ones ahead. I think her drinking got the best of her, and that is why the change. She didn't want a dumpy dive bar anymore. Beer and wine only now. She gave up her hard license. Trying for a different atmosphere thing. (I have my reservations, since the draw was the whole "dive" vibe and unusual sexual stink it gave off. I mean...where else are the hookers going to go now?)

Went by yesterday, for a quick flyby, during afternoon, to see the place open. 3 guys at the bar emptying a pitcher EACH. One Asian family (yes, 2 young kids) in a corner booth working on their meal. (Mai Family?) 2 couples eating around the backside of the bar. Considering it was Grand Opening day, I would chalk it up to word of mouth planning. It will be interesting to see how it all turns out. She says she will stay open until 2am.

Gina (Jean), may or may not come back. Evidently, she has been working next door, to the south (Sugars is north), when not in Wisconsin. All the other lady's will not be returning.

OK...so...forgive the Ad. But I'm telling you guys...I think we have a winner for the inaugural kick-off of the MPR Monger Appreciation Convention and BS Session. ...Just sayin!!

About 8 mos or so ago, I saw Mai at HG Casino. She has definitely had more face work done, but she is still pumpable.

My guess is the action starts later when the kiddies go to bed...

When I saw her the last week, she was wearing quite the revealing summer haltered dress. It was cut pretty low. She knows I like her tits. When she took me to see her office, I got a second hug and I groped on her a bit. She has some huge pointers. (And , yes, too much botox and skin tightening.)

As far as action...I agree. I think unless she specifically calls off the trolls, she will see a lot of the same in the latter night time hours. (BTW...she said she is open at 10am for lunch crowd. ?)
