pumpagain69, MPR admin was clear in response with me they prefer when we see a fake review to go to comments section below review and make comment that the place is closed as of the approximate date so any reviews after that date must be fake. They explained to me that is the best place for them to notice it, that the place is closed, and they will notice it there and make the correction to the format of the place saying it has closed on the title of the place, so that anyone calling it up to put in another review will see that he is trying to review a place that closed, and subject his review to more scrutiny by members. |

marsean | Guys, got a note from MPR admin in response to my longwinded post above, that they can best deal with it if when we see a review on a spa that is closed, after the review go to the comments section below it and make a note that the place has closed, and it would help if you have an approximate date. They will notice and then make the addendum notation for reviews for the place that indicates it is closed. | |

Labeling of Closed Spas Quote:
Ok, Lib. I do recall a thread from MPR that announced we should make it public when a place is closed so that the MPR site can label the place closed so that when it is called up for research or review it will be clear that the place is closed. The converse should be followed as well when a closed place reopens and/or is renamed, as in the case in San Diego of Hana Spa closing then becoming Pine Spa and reopening some time later. I recall the thread that MPR put out on this subject but I do not recall if MPR said to put a thread on the discussion pages under AAMP/Massage Parlor or to email admin with the information for their attention, so that the proper labeling on locations would be adjusted so that everyone sees it when calling up any given location. If we can get the answer announced to that then everyone can know the right place to make the notification so that Admin or whoever is tasked to can take care of it. If a place were labeled "closed" a lot less fake reviews would wind up there after a closing. So maybe Lib, you can take this up with Admin and have an announcement on this for the AAMP/Massage Parlor section? Thanks for your time. |

[quote=Libertine;92237]Lions Health Spa on Pico has been closed for a year http://www.mpreviews.com/forum/showt...ighlight=Lions[/QUOTE Yep no doubt. So the location needs to have the "closed" info if you call up the place under reviews. That doesn't excuse somebody submitting a review that is obviously fake. |
