i'm half black,half white. I act pretty much non steryotipical black.i'm good looking , I dress nice, speak well,and am polite.

I've never been rejected ,and hardly ever experience racism personally.

The point I am getting at is bieng black, you are probably less likely to be unfairly judged if you look/ act more like denzel washington, than Dr. Dre.

Its not fair but its true. I can tell the difference between a gang banger or thug, and a guy who just likes to wear stylish hip hop clothes, or has braids or dreds or something, but most non blacks can't, so they assume if you look a certain way, then you ARE certain way.

What is really unfair is I think a darker skinned black guy is more likely to be prejudiced than a light skinned black guy...even if they are dressed the same way.

Anyways i have had plenty of chinese korean latin etc. say they like the way I look, or even want to meet me outside the parlor. One time a chinese chick made dumplings for me for my next visit, so after the massage, I sat and ate with them in their back room.
so we can't prejudge them saying they think this or that. Everyone is diff.

I have seen ads where many black woman escorts write clearly no black men. Some asian incall places also screen black guys out. But I see the most discrimination from younger black woman.

White and black women that say not black men have pimps.
They do not want their girls to be "knocked" !

Maybe it's not you but a lot of black guys have robbed girls in past, have not paid them or have threatened them, that why women are afraid. However a lot of black guys are nice, respectful and gentlemen. I personally see black guys but I reject anybody regardless of their race if they show up dirty, drunk, high or anything that seem suspicious, as well as their voice on the phone, no iight, thas wassup or slang like that...that tells me who I am dealing with!

I know an asian provider that has been rob 5 time this year in sgv.
Non of them were black, 2 were Asian 1 white and 2 Latinos.

Everyone can find examples where the white guy robbed someone or the white guy left $0 tip or the white guy got violent. But the stats don't lie. People's experiences don't lie. There are stereotypes for a good reason.
There is a reason NY City taxi drivers have preferences to whom they pick up. Why they have to be forced by law to pick up anyone and everyone. Even if they fear for their life.
Of course it is not everyone. But there is enough similar behavior to keep many stereotypes alive and well.
Anyone who works for tips or can be made vunerable should be able to pick who they want to work with. This is how they feed their family. This is their safety.

The rapper Too Short once put out an album title "Get In Where You Fit In" and that is my philosphy when it comes to AMPs and independent providers. I'm Black and I know what it is like just all the other men of color in this forum who has been turned away. I look at it like it's her loss and I will find an AMP or provider who wants to provide me service in exchange for my money. I have been in the hobby for 16 years and I'm at the point that I don't get upset if a provider or an AMP turns me away. I look at like this: It's their bodies and the majority of risk is on them. From pimps, LE, nutcases, etc. trying to arrest, rob, cheat, physical assault and murder them I have no problem with them doing what they feel they have to to protect themselves. Of course they are some who are racist and don't won't service men of color and what can a guy do? Nothing, except move-on. As I said before "Get In Where You Fit In".

My lawyer, who happens to be black, does quite a bit of work for various Asian (specifically Taiwanese) outfits in LA, and he would concur. I dunno if he partakes in the AAMP scene (probably not) but he understands the stereotypes out there, and tries not to act in a similar manner. I follow the same set of reasoning when I travel overseas. I try not to act like some redneck yahoo, show some courtesy to the locals, and it's usually reciprocated.

The bottom line is the providers have their right to refuse service to anyone, even it may not be politically correct. If they worry about black customers causing trouble, the fact is the most crime is committed by black. Just look at the population in jail.
