MPkid, as usual, has it right. Once you go to Pattaya or Bangkok, you will forever be hooked. My brother lived in Pattaya for 3 years, finally discovered that you can't make a living there due to the Thai laws protecting Thai workers...farang (foreigners) just can't get hired. You either have to open a bar, work for one of the foreign owned CEMs (contract equipment mfrs) or retire there like the Euros do on their nice pensions. The Thai ladies know how to treat a man, but once you are there for awhile, you figure out that there is no need for a regular gf or wife. The go go bars and beer bars are full of gals that will spend the night with you for the equivalent of $40-$50 US (may have gone up since I was there in 2006). SE Asian women are incredibly beautiful, with slim sexy bodies and most have great attitudes, but as in all Asian countries, there are some dragon ladies. Key, as always, is to take control and not be a chump.
