The whitish icon on the upper right between the post # and the red triangular warning sign is to click to give rep power.
When you click on it a box opens up labeled Reputation. Below that is the question what you think of the post. Below that you can choose to approve or disapprove of the post. Additionally there is a box to make a brief comment on the post. Finally below that is a button you must click on to "Add to Reputation". |

Another feature is available at the header of every thread to "Rate This Thread". You can open the selection by hovering over the downward triangle to open the rating choice. The rating is a vote, so that other input will adjust the level of rating by votes. Once you select your vote, you must click the button to vote. Threads with votes gain interest and probably increase the chance that members will also give reputation to the members commenting.
