One of my favs text me saying today is Zhongqiu Jie (had to look it up LOL) and it was a special day to see her. So I went and she rewarded me with a box of mooncakes. Boy this stuff taste good. I love special Chinese Days. She did the same thing on Chinese Valentines Day too a couple of month ago.

Very cool, jagone! Yep, Deezguy knows what he’s talking about. Four (si) sounds a lot like death (also “si” but pronounced slightly different and the Chinese character is different. For this reason four is a very unlucky number in China. There are no fourth floors in most buildings in China. But eight, ah, it is the luckiest number in China. My Chinese wife loves gifts that are somehow related to eight. Especially $800! Visit your Chinese providers during Chinese New Year and be sure to show up with a red envelope filled with cash...$80 tip goes a long way.
