Simi Valley
Based on information I received from a confidential source the City of Simi Valley is going after massage parlors. While this is nothing new, what they are doing is checking to see if the girls have the proper license. If they do not, they could be fined and banned from working in the city (including the manager/owner). In the wake of all this, a few girls have already left Simi Valley and it is difficult to recruit new employees.

All the rules are in effect now but there is an early January date that inspections will start after allowing providers to get their paperwork filed and in order.

Based on a confidential source you received? LOL. It's been public knowledge since way back in January 2015. there's a lot of misinformation posted in the start of this thread. I've been posting detailed information since October about this in the comments section under numerous provider reviews.

Simi Valley Extends Moratorium
Simi Valley council extends moratorium on new massage businesses for one year
"A shocking number of our massage businesses are fronts for prostitution," Simi Valley Police Department Commander Alan Thompson told the city council. Commander Thompson said "The city of Simi Valley has the second highest number of massage businesses in Ventura County." "The city has investigated numerous complaints related to suspected illegal activity and there is concern about associated negative impacts on quality of life, effects on public safety, impacts to the local economy, and overall character of the city," said Peter Lyons, environmental services director. http://www.vcstar.com/news/local/sim...365067291.html http://www.vcstar.com/topstories/Sim...364975641.html VC Star 1-12-16 Last edited by Libertine; January 12th, 2016 at 08:26 PM. |

We Are Law and Order in this Town
“We are law and order in this town and the citizens deserve nothing less than for us to protect them from criminals. People are doing these illicit operations, it’s prostitution, and we have got to crack down on them. I want to get rid of the people doing illegal activities.” Mayor Bob Huber said at Monday's City Council meeting.
Simi Valley Police Department Commander Alan Thompson reported to the council that a shocking number of massage establishments in the City are fronts for illicit activity like prostitution. Commander Thompson also reported the City Attorney is preparing civil actions while the Police Department investigates and continues to compile information from various resources related to the illegal activity at massage establishments operating within the City. Enforcement operations by his officers will take place for the next 60 to 90 days throughout the City said Commander Thompson at the meeting. As of this week 40 known massage business owners had not applied for their permits by the January 12 deadline said senior planner Lorri Hammer at the meeting. http://www.simivalleyacorn.com/news/..._extended.html Simi Valley Acorn 1-15-16 |
