Here are some FACTS:

In the House, 214 Republicans (90.3%) voted for FOSTA, as did 174 Democrats (90.2%). In the Senate, 49 Republicans (96.1%) voted for SESTA, as did 46 Democrats (97.9%).

This is hardly some mad one-sided Republican attempt to take away basic American rights in the guise of "protecting children." It is clearly a pretty even bipartisan effort to pander to the "human trafficking" hysteria that has been gripping the country, in an attempt to use public sentiments to achieve/maintain majority government control.

It is extremely dishonest to imply or assert that only Trump or a Republican president would have signed SESTA/FOSTA. To not sign this legislation would have been political suicide for any president, in the face of overwhelming popular support for SESTA/FOSTA. If these bills were made ballot issues for general elections, they would be passed by a landslide by sheeple convinced they are saving enslaved children from brutal pimps and filthy mongers.

Why not mention a couple of liberal icons (Feinstein, Harris), when they voted for SESTA, and speak very favorably on their respective websites regarding this legislation? They are clearly not our friends, despite their impeccable Lefty credentials. It's not a distraction, it's the truth, or FACTS, as DK likes to trumpet.

The alternative to Trump would have been Hillary, and it's hard to imagine her going against the grain of political sentiment in this matter if she had won the election instead of "the Orange Cheeto." Does anyone believe she would have refused to sign legislation that almost everyone in her party supported, not to mention supported overwhelmingly by the public?

DK, you crack me up. To call attention to the weak points in your arguments does not make one a "Trumpster." I know you prefer to think that anyone who disagrees with your Trump-obsessed rants must be a Trump-supporter, but that doesn't make it so. All things considered, DK does provide valuable information sometimes that we might otherwise have missed. I didn't know about what happened to the Seattle-based TRB (The Review Board) and its members, or SESTA/FOSTA being in the works until he posted about them. These are things we need to know about, and I appreciate his diligence in ferreting them out and letting us know. What I don't appreciate are his snarky political comments and childish name-calling (or the pussy pics of the hippos he picks up on The Pig - yuck). I know I've let him troll me. In spite of my intention to put this site behind me, I have lurked from time to time and just couldn't resist pouncing on some of his more outrageous BS when I saw it. Voting for FOSTA is clearly seen as a moral and ethical high ground. How does anyone realistically vote against human trafficking, the sin that is prostitution, and exploitation of minors? Even if that bill doesn't accomplish that, it is perceived to. Some say perception is reality.
