Exclamation Trump would be most reckless President in American history

SIGNED STATEMENT BY 50 FORMER GOP SENIOR NATIONAL SECURITY AND FOREIGN POLICY OFFICIALS - August 8, 2016

The undersigned individuals have all served in senior national security and/or foreign policy positions in Republican Administrations, from Richard Nixon to George W. Bush. We have worked directly on national security issues with these Republican Presidents and/or their principal advisers during wartime and other periods of crisis, through successes and failures. We know the personal qualities required of a President of the United States. None of us will vote for Donald Trump. From a foreign policy perspective, Donald Trump is not qualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief. Indeed, we are convinced that he would be a dangerous President and would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being. Most fundamentally, Mr. Trump lacks the character, values, and experience to be President. He weakens U.S. moral authority as the leader of the free world. He appears to lack basic knowledge about and belief in the U.S. Constitution, U.S. laws, and U.S. institutions, including religious tolerance, freedom of the press, and an independent judiciary. In addition, Mr. Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he has little understanding of America’s vital national interests, its complex diplomatic challenges, its indispensable alliances, and the democratic values on which U.S. foreign policy must be based. At the same time, he persistently compliments our adversaries and threatens our allies and friends. Unlike previous Presidents who had limited experience in foreign affairs, Mr. Trump has shown no interest in educating himself. He continues to display an alarming ignorance of basic facts of contemporary international politics. Despite his lack of knowledge, Mr. Trump claims that he understands foreign affairs and “knows more about ISIS than the generals do.”

Mr. Trump lacks the temperament to be President. In our experience, a President must be willing to listen to his advisers and department heads; must encourage consideration of conflicting views; and must acknowledge errors and learn from them. A President must be disciplined, control emotions, and act only after reflection and careful deliberation. A President must maintain cordial relationships with leaders of countries of different backgrounds and must have their respect and trust. In our judgment, Mr. Trump has none of these critical qualities. He is unable or unwilling to separate truth from falsehood. He does not encourage conflicting views. He lacks self-control and acts impetuously. He cannot tolerate personal criticism. He has alarmed our closest allies with his erratic behavior. All of these are dangerous qualities in an individual who aspires to be President and Commanderin-Chief, with command of the U.S. nuclear arsenal. We understand that many Americans are profoundly frustrated with the federal government and its inability to solve pressing domestic and international problems. We also know that many have doubts about Hillary Clinton, as do many of us. But Donald Trump is not the answer to America’s daunting challenges and to this crucial election. We are convinced that in the Oval Office, he would be the most reckless President in American history.

Signed

Amen to that. It used to be you could always just vote for the lesser of two evils (in fact, that was usually about the best you could do anyway). Now, neither one is the "lesser" of two evils. It's hard to decide which one would be worse!

Oh, did you notice there's a new "independent" candidate? Evan McMullin. Apparently an attempt by Repub Old Guard to head Trump off at the pass. Not that McMullin has a chance of winning. If anything, he'll just do a Ralph Nader and give the election to HRC.

Lol. Establishment Repubs are howling mad that their presidential candidacy was hijacked by a TV show egomaniac. Now they're lashing out, desperately trying to gain back lost territory. They're even pushing out an "independent" candidate in hopes of wooing back disaffected Party Faithfuls who don't relish Trump for president, but see no other viable alternative to HRC. Makes you wonder what's going to happen next!

Double fucking Dittos. Everybody knows this thing is rigged, but to what extent it can be proven is the question. There is so much money that slides around during this process and that does not mean that the biggest spender is bound to be elected. A crap shoot, a game, a pack of lies and opinions levied out there and many many behind the scenes moves, with a process different from state to state and the one man(or woman, or whatever plus dogs and cats and pet gorillas) one vote. Just don't be caught pulling a Watergate, stuffing the ballot box or LYING within the last week of the campaign. That can hurt big time.

As far as most look at it and feel about it there is a majority for the Dems. Been that way in Presidential elections most of the time. So Hillary get a total pass because it seems instead of owning up to LYING, she wants to say that Chris Wallace and her were talking PAST each other in her interview; or that instead of saying that she did not remember it right about Comey's comments and avoid saying that she continues to LIE, she conveniently stated that she "SHORT CIRCUITED", whatever that means. So she can't take the pressure, ehh? Ya Think?

All that stuff is by passed and not an issue. She is forgiven by the faithful and this won't be big unless it still has LEGS within the last week of the time leading up to the election, IMHO. In the meantime, the next 3 months should be interesting with the back and forth. Don't worry it is still a fight to the finish. So we can all kill some time commenting here if ya want to get some things said.

In the meantime, it's RIGGED (partly). Hahahaha. We're fucked in the end.
