I'm going back to my hobby. I will wait for further action before weighing in for now. I need a boost today. There are a lot of options being weighed now. FH will lose any main squeeze he has and any future ones if he proves to be a Moron.

The United Nations Security Council unanimously agreed to impose tighter sanctions on North Korea on Monday, imposing limits on oil exports, banning the country’s textile imports and access to gas liquids, and more closely inspecting cargo ships going in and out of its ports.
In the approved text, the 15-member Council seeks to cap refined petroleum products up to 500,000 barrels beginning in October, and up to two million barrels per year starting in January for a period of one year.
The Council gives countries the right to inspect ships with the consent of the countries where the ships are registered, “if they have information that provides reasonable grounds to believe that the cargo of such vessels contains items the supply, sale, transfer or export of which is prohibited.”
In addition, the resolution takes action against North Korean nationals who work outside of the country and who could be generating foreign export earnings that North Korea uses to support its prohibited nuclear and ballistic missile programs. The resolution prohibits U.N. member states from providing work authorizations for North Korean nationals unless is required for the delivery of humanitarian assistance or denuclearization.
The resolution follows the condemnation by the Council of the nuclear test carried out by North Korea on September 3 and its violation of eight resolutions dating back to 2006 which it says could have large-scale regional security implications.
“The proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, as well as their means of delivery, constitutes a threat to international peace and security,” the Council said in a statement.
The resolution was the ninth North Korea sanctions resolution unanimously adopted since 2006.
The United States watered down a tougher draft of the resolution in order to win the support of China and Russia, reports Reuters. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley had sought an oil embargo on Pyongyang. On Monday, she said the U.S. was not looking for war with North Korea and that Pyongyang had “not yet passed the point of no return.”
“If it agrees to stop its nuclear program, it can reclaim its future. If it proves it can live in peace, the world will live in peace with it,” she told the Security Council after the council adopted the new sanctions.
Haley said the latest resolution “would not have happened” without the strong relationship that had developed between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

iMHO I think we should have went about the new sanctions in a different way.
On the new sanctions Trump said they are no big thing-probably a smart
thing to say at this time to try to avoid escalating situation. Upon review
it has been said they won't be effective without other actions taken. NK
said they would retaliate against new sanctions. What I would have liked to
see was the first package brought to a vote stating they would be implemented
if there was any further action nuke related including missiles shot. That would
have squarely put the ball in NK court on a resolution I think stood a good chance
to pass. If it then was implemented it would be much more effective as that
resolution had a lot of bite to it.

Agree completely, however trying to get the unanimous VOTE of the Security Council might not have happened. BTW, before any news media had anything out there that I had read regarding inspecting ships or cargo or blockade of inbound or outbound ships to or from NK, I did send in almost verbatim that blurb you can reread on item #56 in this thread, to Trump. That was last week when Haley was talking about this last round of UNSC meeting was due to happen this week, which it did this Monday Sept. 11th. I had gotten acknowledgement from the White House regarding my email, saying they were reviewing it very closely, and it was soon after that Haley was working her ass off preparing such an idea for the UNSC. Apparently in discussions the Chinese and Russians wanted weaker language including the requirement that the countries owning the ships would have to give their permission to allow theirs to be inspected or boarded. Obviously any NK ships government won't give permission. But most of their cargo is shipped by other countries to them and from their ports to elsewhere anyway, so at least something would be done.

Now today the subject of a blockade and or inspecting ships coming from to going to NK is ALL OVER the news everywhere. I planted a seed. Worked well in Cuban Missile Crisis. Anyway. We can try to go back and turn up the heat of how the ships would be inspected and maybe you should suggest to admin. the thought you had, regarding if any further tests were to happen, what would result, that all the sanctions agreed to so far and further ones would all happen if any further nuclear work or missile tests were to be done. That would be good. Then we would still need a way to verify that any further development of nukes would not happen, (so obviously, it would require UN certified inspectors go in there, and we still need somehow to get them to agree to not only stop the program, but start denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula. Whatever, still more work to do to get their program stopped and to have it wound down.

I am pretty sure this moron FH has just said the new sanctions will just cause them to do more in their nuke program and do more tests. So this is like talking to a wall to talk to him or try to reason with him. The same stuff over and over again. The last sanctions did not cut off all oil going in or out of NK, but that is what it may take if the same members of the UNSC can be convinced. If THAT came to pass, NK would have no choice but to denuke and wise up, which still would not mean regime change necessarily, so why does the guy not wise up?

I'm very impressed in what you did Marsean. I would appreciate if you could give
me the detail of how you sent communication to Trump. I will then use the same method
to convey my thinking.
BTW another missile just fired by NK. Pisses me off.

In addition to help with getting China to go along with this I
would suggest we make a deal with them that we would help
with any refugee crisis if one occurs and to try to sway other
countries to do the same.
