I'm not a fan of censorship. This site has been around for a long time and it has managed to self-police just fine. Censorship and the infringement on private messages on this site is only likely to create more bitterness and resentment.

Wouldn't this over-zealous energy be better-applied to filtering all the bogus reviews and improving the site's software?

Deleting a post because it violates the rules is one thing, editing a member's post is quite another. At the very least an announcement to that effect should be included with the edit, along with a warning as to why it is being edited.

I've tried to post 3-4 times but Libertine keeps deleting my posts, including ones with screenshots showing I do not violate said rules.

Yes, I've noticed at least one post of yours, where you said your claim of moderator-editing of your posts was "1000% true" has disappeared. This is troubling.
