Exclamation Forbes: Trump's Fortune Worth Only $3.7 Billion

Forbes Magazine: Donald Trump's Fortune Is Worth Only $3.7 Billion

FORBES’ new investigation into Trump’s wealth pegs his fortune at $3.7 billion, down $800 million from a year ago.

Great businessmen turn brands into profits.

On Monday night at the first presidential debate Donald Trump stated that his FEC filing showed income of $694 million for the past year. It doesn’t, because in the document he freely mixed revenue with income, and it covers a period of 17 months.

Donald Trump's Fortune Falls $800 Million To $3.7 Billion

Despite decades of precedent among presidential candidates, Donald Trump has been steadfast in his refusal to release his tax returns. “You don’t learn that much from tax returns,” he said at the first presidential debate on Monday, where he claimed that he has been getting audited by the IRS almost every year for 15 years. “You will learn more about Donald Trump by going down to the federal elections,” Trump suggests, “where I filed a 104-page essentially financial statements of sorts.”

A lot of Trump critics have argued that he’s afraid that his tax returns will show he’s not a billionaire. Highly doubtful. First, Trump’s income will not directly correlate with the value of his assets, the debt on them or his stake in each. Second, FORBES has been scouring Trump’s fortune for 35 years. Sometimes he’s up, sometimes he down–and for much of the 1990s he was out of the three-comma club.

FORBES’ new investigation into Trump’s wealth pegs his fortune at $3.7 billion, down $800 million from a year ago. A softening of New York City’s real estate market, particularly in retail and office, where valuations are trending down, has diminished his estimated net worth. New information was also a factor. Of the 28 assets or asset classes scrutinized by FORBES, 18 declined in value, including his trademark Trump Tower on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, his downtown jewel 40 Wall Street and Mar-a-Lago, his private beachfront club in Palm Beach.

Below you’ll find our estimates and for all his assets. And no, as with Oprah Winfrey and Mark Cuban and all the rest, we don’t subscribe an intangible value to his “brand.” Great businessmen turn brands into profits, which then get valued. The deals that putatively could get done do not.

One more thing: The bombastic Republican presidential candidate said on Monday night that his FEC filing showed income of $694 million for the past year. It doesn’t, because in the document he freely mixed revenue with income, and it covers a period of 17 months.

Who would have guessed Trump was that broke. That should disqualify him from being
the president. Just ask Lib he'll agree with that. But don't ask him how Hilary amassed
her wealth. Or to name any of her accomplishments. He's not programed to answer those
things.

Trump is the worst businessman. he should just have invested his Daddy's money and he'll be richer today, not having fucked thousand of small businesses or employees out of paying them.

So now we gotta base our vote on him being a poor businessman employing thousands of people, right?

So Hillary puts hers in a tax exempt foundation that she owns and controls and shelters a lot of her income by donating to it and avoiding taxes but that foundation, from what I heard is domiciled in Canada. How many jobs has she created in the US?

Her plan is to RAISE TAXES on you and me while Trump's plan is to lower taxes on all.

Meantime Hillary and Slick Willy will be paying very little in taxes because she is not investing in our economy, but she wants to tax the crap out of companies and anybody making more than the $250,000. Weird, she and Bill will be making way over that but she won't pay near as much as anybody investing in OUR economy. She'll just donate more to the CF, which she has already said.

Arf, Arf, Arf! You go girl!

So now with Congress overriding Obama's Veto on the 9/11 bill to allow families of victims of 9/11 to sue the Saudis for compensation for their loss has put Hillary in a unique position since she gets a lot of donations from them and if she is elected if they have cost on this they are threatening to pull the rug on investments in our economy. How would she as President treat those victims now that she is in Saudis hip pocket? What will her contribution be to that looking to the future?

By the way, the override vote in the Senate was 97-1. And in Congress overall it was a total Bi-Partisan Vote to show Support to Families of Victims of 9/11.

First Override of an Obama Veto by Congress. Ya think he may be on the way out? How do you think Hillary and Congress are going to Get Along if she gets elected? Something to consider.

Go on Hillary, keep taking those millions from Saudi and other foreign sources and Yeah Girl, keep your Foundation accepting all that cash from Foreign sources even in your Presidency, right?

Political grandstanding. No one wants to be seen as not supporting the 9/11 families, despite the fact that this bill will do nothing to help them. If Americans sue the Saudi government and win, does anyone seriously think the Saudis will pay? How will we make them pay? Of course now we will be opening the door for those who want to sue the US government for anything that happens abroad. Civilians were bombed in Syria? The USA was behind it!

I'm not buying it Sam. Russia is behind more damage in Syria than us, but guess what, Obama just sent more troops. Kerry feels betrayed by Russia after the minimal cease fire, and the BS is flying all around. Hey do you think Hillary will have an easy time with Putin? You would think Obama would have looked better if he signed it in the first place since it probably won't amount to much. No Problem, Hillary is in good with the Saudis...she'll ask them for more money to run interference. What is Hillary's plan with Assad? What has she done that is positive? Lets get real, there are more important choices coming at us in future and I don't trust her. She can't even keep control of her husband's privates. Who was she inviting to Doggie Style by saying Arf, Arf, Arf?

Hey Sam, this question aside, how many of us have just started to consider what the federal tax consequences are going to be with Hillary for your pocketbook and all of us, never mind putting a lot of pressure on existing US companies to pay higher taxes than now. US corporate taxes they say are already the highest (or close to it) in the world, right? To tax more they will raise costs, which costs who? You and me, and may cost jobs. Even her husband lowered taxes when he was president...just saying.
