Alicia Machado: Former Miss Universe Trashed By Trump Looks Stunning On Red Carpet

Alicia Machado totally blew us away when she took to the red carpet at the Metropolitan Fashion Week closing gala in L.A., sporting the most stunning gold dress. The lovely lady, who Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, continues to trash, totally had our vote when it came to best dressed! Get the details on her amazing look here!

Alicia Machado has been the center of many a discussion in the media recently, and mainly in stories revolving around the 2016 election. But on Oct. 2, the story was all about the former Miss Universe, and how amazing she was.

The Venezuelan-born Alicia sported a gold-foiled Herve Leger gown at the Metropolitan Fashion Week closing gala at Warner Bros Studios in Burbank, California and she looked S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G.

Although, we weren’t at all surprised when Alicia totally wowed in the form-fitting ensemble, completed with a simple low ponytail with a part down the middle and large gold hoop earrings, as she always looks amazing to us!

“I love you all, I love you all – and thank you very much for all the people that are supporting me right now,” Alicia told reporters at the event, during which she presented an award and brought along her 8 year old daughter Dinorah as her date.

And it was really interesting to hear how happy Alicia is, despite the serious amount of attention — both good and bad — that she’s getting from the media, after Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton brought up Alicia’s name in her first debate against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Sept. 26.

Since then, Donald has been attacking Alicia, who he had body-shamed for gaining some weight after she won the Miss Universe pageant in 1996. Donald brought up the beauty queen, who he had formerly called “Miss Piggy,” in an interview on Sept. 27, and then he continued his attack on Sept. 30, falsely claiming that she had made a sex tape and alleging that Hillary was responsible for Alicia’s U.S. citizen status so she could use her against him in the debate.

But, Alicia seemed to have not let any of this phase her, because she appeared to be having an amazing time at the gala!

Lol. "S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G." So says the girl blogger/reporter on HollwoodLife.com in describing the Venezuelan-born "beauty queen." Let's make that former beauty queen. While still do-able, her best days are long behind this 39 year-old comadre. Who knows, the attention she's getting now because of Trump may give her career the bump up it needs. Or not. Think Hillary will still remember her name after she wins the election?

Maybe Alicia should run for office, now that she's a citizen. She seems to have about the same level of world knowledge as the Libertarian candidate for president (or John Belushi's character in Animal House).
