Florida had quite the rep when the whole enchalada was decided by a bunch of votes with "hanging chad". Seem to recall it took 37 days to get a final decision with votes with the "chad" were tossed. Do not recall any controversy about signatures. Then Tommy Lee Jones college roommate was very gracious in bowing out, one Al Gore. No counting of votes in Spain by Canadian company machines that you can plug in a thumb drive to. No stories of putting stacks of paper ballots to run through the machine for a count multiple times after you sent home most of the staff.
