Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, was against condoms. He wrote that their use reduced the pleasure of the sexual act so much, that it would lead to erection disorders for men, to poor mental health, and other neuroses in men.

Freud, in his notes, reported about a 27 year old man, who always used a condom when he fucked whores. Freud stated that the man's libido had been gradually reducing for a long time. Preparing to use the condom was enough to make the young man feel like he was forced to participate in the act and so, he had to strive for his sexual pleasure.

Sigmund Freud's views on the importance of certain aspects of sexuality, coitus interruptus (cock pulling out of the pussy just prior to ejaculation), and the use of condoms are in the etiology of what he called the "actual neuroses" — primarily neurasthenia and certain physically manifested anxiety symptoms.

Freud wrote that condom use during penile-vaginal intercourse (PVI), like sexual activities other than PVI, led to a detrimental effect on the male orgasm that fueled the neuroses.

Freud associated condom use, during cock inside of the pussy penetration (PVI: penile-vaginal intercourse), affected triggers of the male orgasm with physically manifested anxiety symptoms, psychological immaturity, and predisposition to poorer mental health.

Freud's hypothesis is that the inability for the male to have a (PVI) penile-vaginal orgasm (to block semen from entering the pussy) correlated to the use of a condom, is a sign of psychological immaturity leading to neuroses in men. He wrote immature psychological defense mechanisms, anxiety symptoms, and other neuroses correlates directly with frequency of condom use during PVI, but inversely with frequency of PVI orgasm without condoms.
