Back home if a woman gives a guy shit (for being out all night or losing the family fortune at a casino etc) he might slap the fuck out of her and if she doesn't like it and complains to her mom, sister, grandma etc they will ALL tell her the same thing "you deserved it for mouthing off!" Then if she gets bold enough to call a cop over there the police officer is likely to slap her for wasting their time! Now they have this power over here to say anything and if you crack her one upside her cum catcher you go straight to jail and she gets the house and half your money. You get hosed by her lawyer, pay fines, anger management classes, have a domestic violence arrest on your rap sheet and life as you knew it will never be the same.
