comparing sites
 

Hello again Gents from your friendly neighborhood monger lol,i was at the other site RB for a couple months ,the activity there on reviews and forum is constant,you get at least 4 reviews a day and mongers from all over chime in.As for me i am partial to mp reviews, never realy liked the other site even though a lot of mongers i interacted in the past on mp are on there.
So ,if any of you have been on both sites or any other which do you prefer and why, do tell what the difference is.

Regarding the other site (keep in mind most of my experience is in the California based forums):

PLUSES - More reviews, better organization (lists by city), a way better (albeit far from perfect) search engine.
MINUSES - Early on, a lot of plagiarized reviews (many from this site, FWIW), owner of site has "contests" to encourage more user content but doesn't deliver on promised prizes.

Both sites have issues with trolls but at present but this site (at least the CA forums) are under constant spamming of nonsensical BS by a spoiled child who didn't get his way. He probably doesn't even know that the IL forums exist here so consider yourselves lucky.

At the rate the back and forth is going on this site ALL THE TROLLS from everywhere are welcome lol.

I personally hate RM they were way to involved in the BP monopoly and ripped off this entire site content and reviews. They took like 5 reviews from my other (LA) account on here. I would still not support a site like that to this day it's the equivalent of my wife purchasing a Chanel bag from Chinatown. Yeah MPR might not have as many Chicago reviews but at least I know they are legit. When I travel to LA which I do frequently it's still a gold mine on here. I think the site is fine I'm 68 I like the old school factor.

Don't see many trolls on here lately. Who were they?

RM definitely has trolls but i feel this site is less active.and depending whos reviewing is porn style

RM is a faster site. The reviews and comments happen faster. If you see similar reviews on both sites...it's because mongers are moving over. This site needs to speed up it's internet output...it's a good site but needs to be updated.

Don't have an issue with the speed on here. Safari browser on my mac or iphone 5g. RM just not a fan- don't trust it. To each their own.

Speed is much faster on here I noticed last few days. Excited for the new site, but will miss the old one.

Maybe MPR if you are reading this could you link this as an archived site when the new one is live?
