It's so funny that you posted this because a friend of mine today wanted me to post the same question!
I have never been busted, but I have been robbed. I called a chick of craigslist. She insisted that I give her lots of information about myself- my name, email address, the company I work for, any website refrences to prove I'm real; it was like a damn' job interview!
Anyway, she shows up an hour late, is obviously NOT the person in the picture, but insists that she is. I knew she was not because the photo was of a small time pornstar.
So there we are, in my bedroom and she is lying to my face about who she is. We settle on $200 and then she drops the bomb- "I'm gonna go put my money in the car because a couple guys have stolen it back from me".
I told her, "No". she insisted yes. Finally we agree that I can follow her out, but she told me to stay 5 seconds behind so people wouldn't think she was a whore.
As she hits the sidewalk, she runs to a black escalade with it's blinkers on. She gets in, and it speeds off.
Damn. I got robbed big time. Five minutes later, She calls my cellphone. I answer and she tells me that if I try to call the cops or report them, they will find out because they have "people on the inside" and will come back to my place and truly rob me.
FYI, never fall for this shit guys. If a whore insists on leaving your place before you get off, she's robbing you.
The company still posts on craigslist all the time. Their ads are easy to recognize. They will post in erotic section with pics of smokin' hot asian chicks who usually have Orange County numbers. Most importantly, the text in the posts are either red or blue- not black.
